Actually no. We need Iraq because we need a port in addition to the Afghan bases to offload heavy armor. With Basra, and bases in Eastern Iraq and Western Afghanistan we can launch a 4 front war (East, West, Airborn and amphib) to invade Iran when necessary. IT will be necessary I'm afraid despite all the feel good media reports about "popular" uprisings.
