We snared a twofer. We got two Al Qaeda scum who can, and will, spill the beans. They will never be free men again and rightly so with so much blood on their hands. I just hope strong precautions are being taken against suicide.

Al-Hawsawi will rat out his confederates in the Islamic money transfer racket and phony "Islamic charity" racket. Saudi Arabia and it's citizens are the most culpable (they have the oil wealth to make mega- mischief) and I hope this info sees the light of day.

I see the phrase "CIA and FBI" presented at least three times in this article. The CIA collects the information on foreign soil and feeds it to the FBI field offices.
Seems to me like the Office of Homeland Security is working.

I thought those two agencies weren't covered by the new office.

The Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection directorate of the DHS analyzes intelligence and information from other agencies (including the CIA, FBI, DIA and NSA) involving threats to homeland security and evaluates vulnerabilities in the nation's infrastructure.

Actionable intelligence - that is, information which can lead to stopping or apprehending terrorists--is essential to the primary mission of DHS. The timely and thorough analysis and dissemination of information about terrorists and their activities will improve the government's ability to disrupt and prevent terrorist acts and to provide useful warning to the private sector and our population. The Directorate will fuse and analyze information from multiple sources pertaining to terrorist threats. The Department will be a full partner and consumer of all intelligence-generating agencies, such as the National Security Agency, the CIA and the FBI.

Thanks. I distinctly remember the critics--libs, now that I think about it--complaining that the DHS didn't include CIA and FBI. Lieberman was quite vocal about it, as I recall. Someone should ask him about that.

How Khalid Learned his ABCs-Educated in the U.S.A.
While in North Carolina, Khalid Mohammed may have had contact with Ali A. Mohamed, another key bin Laden operative who enrolled at an officer-training course for green berets at Fort Bragg in 1981 and gathered intelligence for al Qaeda as a U.S. Army sergeant before being convicted of participating in the African-embassy bombing plot.
