He's also a total class act. I've never had the pleasure of meeting him but I've been very impressed with his personality as I've seen him on TV for so many years. He comes across as a real gentleman and down to earth sort of guy.
I loved that song, especially the line "Watergate does not bother me, does your conscience bother you?" (paging all America-hating, lice infested anti-war types).
Maybe so but to his credit he told Rolling Stone years ago that he voted for Reagan in '84 because he didn't want a repeat of the Carter years (specifically the Panama Canal mess).
Has anyone mentioned Al Michaels?
Is he on our side too?
Pardon me if I'm a bit suspicious about the whole bunch of them. Look at how quickly Clint Eastwood caved on gun control. I don't doubt that if Sen. Rodham (Com-NY) wins in 2004 or 2008, most of these "good guys" will jump on the bandwagon. If there's one thing Hollywood is about even more than liberalism, it's following trends.
And another thing: please stop listing libertarians as "good guys." It doesn't take courage to be a libertarian in Hollywood, since you're not rocking the boat. A Hollywood libertarian is either (a) a Republican who lacks the courage to admit it, or (b) a pothead.
I disagree; libertarians are principled people for the most part and they are distinct from Republicans and Democrats in many ways. And enough with the pothead stereotype already...I expect better critical thinking skills from Freepers.
I can't past the earring he wears out in public. Ridiculous! Him and Ed Bradley both. Imus had a great line about Bradley a few years ago; "Ed, you're a reporter not a pirate,"
True, you did. Bill Maher comes to mind, but he's more of a libertine than a libertarian.
Although Martin Sheen, Susan Sarandon and Janeane Garofalo have been dominating the anti-war airwaves of late, some stars with differing points of view have decided to speak up.
Bruce Willis, Brian McKnight, Kid Rock, Rob Lowe and Jean-Claude Van Damme are saying things that are undoubtedly making the anti-war crowd steam. On the other hand, the celebrity rhetoric thats coming out of these guys is warming the hearts of the kick-Saddams-butt bunch.
According to the New York Daily News, Willis seriously thought about enlisting in the U.S. armed services.
Singer Brian McKnight told MSNBC, If we do go to war ... I'm going to support whatever President Bush decides to do.
Kid Rock colorfully expressed his views by saying, We got to kill that mother-[bleeper] Saddam. Slit his throat.
Rob Lowe, Sheens former co-star on The West Wing, told Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" on Monday that Americans should support our armed forces, and that the best way to do that is to support our commander in chief.
And action movie star Jean-Claude Van Damme told Globe magazine, Some of those in Hollywood are part of the axis of ignorance!
The Left Coast Report says its nice to know that there are celebrities with the mental muscle to go against the grain.

To paraphrase Mayor Diamond Joe Quimby, Libertarians are a bunch of fickle musheads, and I'd just as soon they got their own website as continue to hang out here. Pro-Abortion? Don't want you. Pro Legalized drugs? Don't need you. Anti foreign policy? Can't use you.
