Sometimes the wheel turns slowly, but it turns. Eventually, the inherent corruption of hardcore liberalism eats away at the core of government until it collapses.

Bookmarked.
Enthusiastically, head-shakingly, bookmarked.
This piece has got to be one of the best stories I have read in months. Everything you need to know about the sickest place in the country, all wrapped up in one neat package.
Great post.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Terence Hallinan before he was District Attorney, while he was a Supervisor on the Board of Supervisors in SF. I was working at the Department of Health, and knew of some corruption going on at one of the larger offices. Some very high level managers were using City property and funds for their private use and business. These managers thought they were untouchable. Two weeks after I gave the information to Terence Hallinan, several of the managers submitted their resignations.
I don't agree with some of his politics and methods, but I do feel that he is fair, and he hates corruption and the mis-use of City offices.

I read on the back of a Snapple cap today that termites eat wood twice as fast when rock music is being played. Willie Brown is the Led Zepplin of Mayors.

We're talkiin' 'Frisco, folks. Even if all of 'em are as pure as the wind-driven snow, the mantra of that town's citizenry is: "PIGS is PIGS!" The DA shouldn't be too surprised. I can imagine he feels like he's got the tiger by the tail!

I truely hope this Hallinan fellow doesn't meet with an unfortunate "accident" in the near future, as had happened to many who have crossed corrupt liberals.

The SF Chronicle (I know its a liberal rag) did a survey a while back of the conviction rate among the 20 the largest cities in the USA. SF came out dead last with a conviction rate of 25% for violent crimes. My guess is the entire city is ripe with corruption not just the SFPD. If you want to get rid of somebody do in the city by the bay.
