We're not waiting for UN approval. Troops won't be in position in the south for another week or two according to public info regarding unit deployments. IF we get permission to stage in Turkey, we're two to three (or longer) weeks away. My tagline shows where I stand in the lottery, but the Turkey problem may delay things.
Blair has been getting bloodied for supporting us. It's sound policy to give him what cover we can at the UN. And from what I hear, the UK/US may pull another rabbit out of a hat and get majority support for their resolution.
