You argue that our essential goal in targeting Iraq now is to secure an oil source. While you may be on to something, I still question posting images of the destroyed WTC so that we can drive our cars around for under $2 a gallon.

Maybe it will be like the Spanish-American war. That was a short war, too.

Politcsandprotests slideshow is permanently bookmarked for me.

That is a solid reminder and a intense will-power-upper.

Never forget.

I appreciate your perspective and to some degree support it - the events of 9/11 should be treated with respect and should not be a cry for war. However, in my mind remembering 9/11 helps bring into perspective that although the war with Iraq is about oil (among other things for it is certainly not just about oil) it is still about 9/11. We must keep our focus and not disassociate the war on Iraq from that very reality. Otherwise we end up falling into the mindset of the appeasers who fail to look at the broader picture (not that this is what you're doing - but it's relevant in my opinion).

I will NEVER FORGET!!

I have a link to the TRIBUTE on my personal website and I always bring it up when discussing politics or world affairs. I will never understand how just a year and a half ago the WORLD said, "We are all Americans Today" and now the coalition of the 'WILLING' includes LATVIA but NOT France or Germany or Russia. Absoluting Amazing.

HUH?????? Don't you have that ass-backwards? IF THERE EVER WAS A REASON FOR WAR IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND, IT IS THE EVENTS OF 9/11.

Thanks...we should promote the absolute hell out of it here.

I saw him and heard it in person at the rally here last Friday evening.

Heard he's getting resistance from the emotive libs that run the labels...ala Toby Keith....meanwhile they slather all over that loudmouth peacenik Natalie Maines and the Dixie Bitches.

Music Row is really run by liberal middle aged career women...all the male label heads are just window dressing.

calm down? I'll never "calm down" about 9/11. So I'll ignore your admonition, thanks. Too bad there are people who want to "ease up". We're in the midst of World War III and the battle has just begun and already there are too many who just want to find middle ground.

That's the whole problem--people forget too damn easily. They want their lives back to pre 9/11, and want to forget, or try to straddle the fence.

I agree with the Bush Doctrine, because it is the only way to ensure a future for our civilization.

Geesh - I'm not telling you to calm down about 9/11. Don't forget - never forget. I sure won't. Just go back and read my post again and you'll see that ultimately I'm saying 9/11 is definitely about war with Iraq and as such it is totally appropriate to remember 9/11 in context of supporting our troops and to support the war on Iraq and terrorism. I'll also go back and read my post again as well and repost with clarifications with necessary.
