I am afraid the fat lady has sung..
You've still got rights to use the air bases though.. That's probably salvagable without actually having a pouring out of LUV and coming to a full alliance sort of partnership agreement. We both have to preserve our manhood (/sarc) afterall..
You guys are strong and magnificent babes in those woods full of old wolves. I don't know how else to put it.

Actually, I wouldn't rule that out, depending on how badly Franks and Rumsfeld want a northern front. That division worth of equipment floating off the Turkish coast will be pretty useless without one.
I would echo the pro-Turk opinions on this thread. Conservatives who have followed this know how important Turkey has been as a US ally in NATO and the defacto US/Turkey/Israel alliance.

Don't take all the abuse hurled Turkey's way on some of these threads as personal -- nerves are frayed on both sides of the ocean, the world is, in many respects, gone bonkers, and what we thought was a safe distance from the eye of the storm now turns out to be staring us in the face. We've got a lot of re-thinking to do.
Stay safe.
