If al quade thinks pearl has emotional significance for the US, they are a stupid group. Pearl is remembered only by people born before 1975. If you ask anyone born afterward, they would be hard pressed to know anything about it. Basically, you remember if you were alive in 41 or if your dad was alive in 41.
