Yes, I did misunderstand the date, but my point stands. I can understand -- still more easily in fact, now that I understand we are talking about the earlier date -- why some people in the CIA would want to shift the blame for the first attack on the WTC to Serbs from their favored Islamists. I have a hard time understanding why anybody in the NYPD would be interested in shifting the blame.

The NYPD merely took a phone call within minutes of the detonation, and a person or group of persons within the NYPD discussed the content of that call with Mr. Harvey. This was BEFORE they found the VIN plate and began running that down.
