"Al Sharton is an inveterate liar." Oooh. The guy is very class conscious and close to seeming snobbish, but he's worth it.

Insufferable? Maybe, but only in the way that brilliant people are often insufferable. I identify a ravenous hunger for truth in him, and no disposition to suffer fools lightly, qualities that in my view overshadow whatever insufferable, pompous sheen may lightly coat his personality.

He's. no more insufferable than any other "typical" academic. It's not a matter of color in this case.
