The common roots of Judaism, Christianity and Islam are common knowledge to anyone who has taken Comparative Religions 101
Mythological roots? Most believe that the people living in the middle east now (and 2000 years ago) are the physical descendants of Abraham's son Ishmael. That said, they are most certainly not the spiritual descendants of Abraham. That is, their religion is not from "the same tree" as Judaism and Christianity. Again, if you take the time to look up some middle eastern history, it is quite clear that pre-muhammad arabs were outright pagans. They did not follow the Judeo-Christian God in any way. Later, muhammad took elements of Judeo-Christian doctrine and tried to mix those with a moon-worshipping cult. That is Islam.

muhammad took elements of Judeo-Christian doctrine and tried to mix those with a moon-worshipping cult. That is Islam. If you want to go down that road, one can cite many similar origins for Yahweh going back to the Sumerians, but I don't think anything will convince you.
