I think all our local radio stations are
big chickens when it comes to sponsoring a rally in support of our troops and of the efforts to remove Saddam from Iraq.
They are afraid to upset the lefties who seem to multiply faster than rats. Wait, they are rats!
I was thinking that WMZQ (country station) might be persuaded, as they are a Clear Channel Broadcasting station, and local CCB was sponsor in several other cities' efforts to have rallies. I emailed them (and all the other local stations' news directors and even on-air talent) but got no response.

We just don't have that local conservative talk radio hero that we need. We have to think of another way to work with these radio stations. Joint sponsorhip or something where they incessantly plug? I'm all for always rethinking and building it even bigger -- we're 5 times our size from January 17th, despite the snow -- and I almost WISH someone on this thread had thought of something we hadn't. I think we should go back and keep rethinking and get even better somehow. This is the time to think about how. I'm proud of us all and I'm thinking of how we can do more. I'm still more than a little embarassed about mentioning how much leafletting I or Republic or CH did -- it was *nothing* compared to the sacrifice that our deployed troops and their families make. If there's a *way* I can do more next time, I will. I struggle to think of what that way is.

Tgsl, WTNT 570 (which is a talk station) is also Clear Channel. (BTW, they carry Glenn Beck. I think CC is his syndicator.) It might be wise to get in touch with their HQ, which is in the Dallas area.
That is, if Tom Hicks isn't too busy trying to buy another expensiv free agent. :)
