Unfortunately for all the hard work and heartfelt dedication expended by the tireless DC Chapter, this is an event that should never have happened.

Patriots go to work everyday and have children to send to school. The strikes in Venezuela proved that the work-engine (working people) of any country can never mobilize the way subversives and easily misled youth with no responsibilities or constructive agendas can.

If naitonal pro-life, conservative veteran, military family, college Republican, religious conservative and other groups aren't contacted and coordinated to guarantee a massive show of political strength, efforts like yesterday's do more harm to the cause than good. It displays for all to see, that a few hundred (at most) precious people turned out to support the President, while millions of ignorant hate-mongers around the world turned out to oppose him.

That belittles the horror and heartbreak of the Iraqi refugees and diminishes the entire message. It also gives the Left a huge opening to laugh their asses off. (The guy with the guitar was a big, cringe-inducing mistake.)

While I totally admire and respect the spirit behind the rally, it makes me extremely sad it was held.

Good to see Connie again, though.

"this is an event that should never have happened"

You don't speak for the wives of deployed military men who were in attendance. Or the men and women of the Pentagon who were so grateful to see we were dong this. You're free to have your opinion and I'm sorry you're sad. But others are happy.

"aren't contacted and coordinated"

Aren't you being presumptuous in assuming we didn't reach out? I mean, you weren't at our planning meetings, you don't know what we did -- and indeed if you'd even read more of this thread you'd see all that we tried.

I don't agree that it causes more harm than good. People know that people like, well, YOU didn't come. You're out there but you didn't come. There are lot of people like you, and everyone knows that, the polls show that.

Sorry we missed you.

I also disagree with your defeatist attitude.
If this Rally would not have been held you and numerous others would not be watcing it on C-Span right now.

I have to say that you are absolutely wrong.

If we had not held our rally yesterday, what would CSPAN have on in its place? My guess is that it wouldn't have been anything supportive of the administrations efforts WRT Iraq. And I surely doubt that they would have some other programming that would be supportive of the US military who are ready to defend us.

We in the DC Chapter are so very used to the "helpful" advice of folks who for whatever reason, cannot see the big picture. Maybe you have to live here to understand why we do what we do.

It's sure not because we like to spend all our time and family budgets on these events.

And it's not because we want to be stars on TV.

It's because if we don't stand up and say something, who will?

It's because the voices and stories of people like Aziz Al-Taee and his fellow exiles need to be heard.

Aziz was heard across the US on CSPAN at our rally in October, and CSPAN has again given a forum to the voices of Iraqi exiles who would otherwise be ignored.

So, you and others can say how our rallies are dismal failures, but we know you are sadly mistaken.

People across the US and around the world are watching this rally on CSPAN, so we have MILLIONS attending our rally.

Thanks for your support and your comments. That and a dollar will get me a soda.

Oh, and one other thing. You don't admire and respect our efforts and our spirit. If you did, you wouldn't be making such nasty comments about good Americans who DID give of their time and their money and their energy to stand up for our troops. Your kind of admiration and respect I don't need, thanks.

The left didn't start with a million person rally (nor have they ever held one), but they've got a 40 year headstart.

What we are able to do is get our message out in the media. The mainstream are now at least aknowledging who's behind the anti-war rallies. The public wouldn't know that now if we had not done our events.

You DO seem to be "extremely sad".

Well, I'm glad that "extremely sad" people like you, with a much more "constructive agenda" to deal with, stay home from the patriot's rallies for America.

Stay home and don't act so guilty and defensive about it.

But PLEASE --- stop "giving the Left a huge opening to laugh their asses off" when they read how you bad-mouth our rallies.

Oh right... cant do it perfect, so do nothing at all.

I beg to disagree. It does do a tremendous amount of good... look at all the air time they got.. look at all the people who heard about it. Why are you pissing on them? Guilt?

What have YOU done?

Lara, sick and freepin tired of all the people who don't show up, and still manage to complain about it.
