We always have proposed anti-gun bills. Davis had been loathe to sign many of them prior to his reelection. The repubs kill as many as they can. There are also a lot of dems from rural counties who won't step on the gun crowd. But.......... The dems now rule CA and Davis doesn't have to worry about reelection. I expect we will be seeing more repressive regulation. A form of the ammo tax is pretty likely. I visit my dad in Nevada and will buy all my ammo there if it comes to it.

California's recent legislative history has changed my mind.

From the lowly city council, through the state legislature to the US 9th Circuit, California's liberal fringe has determined to erase the 2nd Amendment in California.

To all knowlegeable Freepers

How long should name brand ammo last in storage? I have a friend who has many boxes of 9mm rounds. They are stored in a cool, dry, dark place. Should my friend expect this ammo to be stable for 3 years, 7 years, 10 years... or do you suggest that my friend use this ammo up at target practice and replace it periodically?

This info would also be helpful if they pass this law, to know how much ammo my friend should stock up before the tax is implemented.

Also, is this information applicable to other size rounds, in case my friend buys a .38 or a .40 or .50 calibre handgun? And is it applicable to shotgun rounds?
