I would imagine that's exactly why the Iraqi officials won't let them stay with the people. The citizens would probably give them 'an earfull' about what goes on in that country every day! No way are they going to allow that to happen! You'd think they(the human shields) would know this, especially the older ones, and the diplomat lady.
