Kevin and Helen Williams, a soft-spoken couple from Wales, were baffled by this volte-face: "We always understood that human shield meant a shield of humans and that we would be allowed to work with Iraqi civilians. Why it is being interpreted differently now?"Because you are stupid and Saddam lies? Go with the odds and play that one.

Later, a £500 donation from a well-wisher in Istanbul was squandered on boxes of Prozac in a misguided attempt to cheer up the war-weary Iraqi civilians."But the people have no bread."
"Let them take Prozac."

Bump to the top for the Sunday afternoon crowd.

20 Iraqi Oil Refinery guards for every 8 'human shields'-I wonder what that means!! It means we convince Communist A.N.S.W.E.R. (C.A.N.S.E.R.) to hold it's next Million Commie March in Baghdad. If they assign "minders" in the same ratio, there's no one left to guard Saddam and the 82nd can waltz in to arrest him.

I saw some video of "our" human shields and LMAO! I didn't realize the non-bathing, sprout growing, bongo playing, fried-out bottom of the food chain folks still exsisted. I swear they are wearing the same clothes they had in the 70's. Wonder if they even realize that Nixon isn't the Pres?

Bruce, a 24-year-old Canadian wearing a T-shirt saying "I don't want to die", was one of a group of tanned young men who were drafted into protect a grain store. Initially, he, like others, had concerns about the sites, which included an oil refinery, a water purification plant and electricity stations. He was won over when the Iraqis provided televisions, VCRs, telephones and a Play Station. Remember the name "Bruce," because he will be one of the first to die. That "grain store" probably has all sorts of Materiel Breachables (as the frogs might say) underneath it, and is probably near the top of the US target list.
Bye, Bruce!

I also saw the video this morning on Fox. It was hilarious watching those imbeciles running for their lives away from 'harms way'. I could hear them saying to each other, "Hey man...what's up with moving the Iraqi Army to a position behind
us human shields?" "Let's get outta here".. The heck with our left wing public relations agenda, this is freakin suicide!"...
Too bad the Iraqi army moved towards the shields now. If they waited until the bombs started falling, we might have seen
these human shields screaming for their lives on television...

(It's hard to fall asleep when you can't stop laughing) I hope Saturday Night Live picks this up and creates a skit with this material... if they do it right, it could be really good!

The eccentric, eclectic group, none of whom fitted the "peacenik" stereotype, may have been drawn from all ages, backgrounds and experience, but they all shared one trait: naivety. Beset by problems on the road, lack of sufficient funds or a clear, universally-shared agenda, most had been tested beyond their limits before they even arrived in Iraq. LOL! Too funny.
