They've arrested and turned over to us literally hundreds of al-Qaeada, including some of the biggest fish we have. Nearly every day Pakistani police, military and intelligence officers risk their lives, and dozens have lost their lives, pursuing these terrorists and making these arrests (as well as defending Christian Churches and Shiite Mosques). Could they do more? Maybe. Were they woefully late in modifying their past support of terrorism and radicalism (and are they still dragging their feet wrt Kurdistan)? Certainly. But let's not shiite on what they have done, for they have done a great deal, and they have come a long way.
When I asked how much this cost, I had hoped to be around to explain, but got called away. I have no problem with any financial price, but I hope that Pakistan is not taking our money and breeding a new generation of rats.
