Thank you for taking a trip over to Laci's neighborhood and cluing us in on many interesting things. Homeless people all over the parks? I wonder if Laci ever took the dog to the park, or mainly stuck to the streets.

As for her stopping to use a bathroom in a park full of the homeless, I'm sure she'd just rather wet her pants (it was raining out anyway).

These bogus reports are all coming from Wacky Jackie's Tipline, otherwise known as the Creep's Defense Team Hotline.

The thing I can say on homeless, and the parks. In past Modesto Bee news archives, many neighbors have complained to City officials and MPD on the homeless intrusions. MPD has made many attempts to weed them out, and have them move on to other suitable areas. As for the bathrooms, and them being around, during the day time, they are normally getting or looking for their stuff, alcohol or what ever else. The parks are normally full of a variety of people. Many of the homeless are sleeping because it is safer to sleep during daylight than night time.. and that they got to drunk or ???? and sleeping it off. Dry Creek Park was full of pedestrians, kids, parents, and bikes. MPD is all around there. They know what sections are bad or not. They know who is who around there.

I hope I wasn't giving a bad impression that the La Loma neighborhood has many bad elements there. Not so, just trouble spots.

When young growing families move into a new town, the first thing they should check is police crime stats, or other relevent information on a neighborhood you may want to move into. Real Estate Agents won't tell you it.

To me, I found Modesto reflecting a Bay Area attitude, but full of hickstown folks too.

Hickstown folks can be many ways, as I see it, many are just plain backwards! Out of touch with a changing population.
