Just so long as they learn the lessons from the McCarthy years. If you get out-of-hand with your prosecution, there will be a backlash that will be felt for decades. The last thing conservatives need is a new generation of Americans experiencing McCarthyism for themselves. We'll have to hear the left-wing knee-jerk "McCarthyism" accusation for another 100 years.

Here we have'repressed' acresses going overseas to dump on American democracy freedom and values and trash our Government all the while claiming they feel 'uncomfortable' in this country, apparently because patriotic Americans call them on their B__ S___ and let them know about it.

These people live in glass houses, throw stones and whine about the damage bill.. arrrrrgggh.

It's sad indeed that we need a Congressional committee to tell us WHAT ANY NEWSPAPER COULD HAVE TOLD US but chose not to anyway. The links are there, open and well-known. And yet the papers wrote cr** articles about how the protesters were a 'slice of all walks of life' etc etc. NO go. It was the GLOBAL LEFT flexing its muscles.

McCarthyism used to apply only to false allegations and overreaching hysteria. Now it covers the legitimate investigations of the era. The darling Alger Hiss really was a communist,Hollywood really was infiltrated.

The sad irony is that McCarthy, as disturbed as he may have been, was right. Communists were in fact trying to infiltrate Hollywood... and government agencies.
