The legislative religious activists struck in the fifties. That's when "under God" was added to the pledge.
What about the Declaration of Independence? How about the vast majority of our historical presidential speeches? What about our money? How about the prayers in congress?
FYI, the legislative process is the constitutional road. Judges should only interpret the laws. If they find the Pledge unconstitutional then a great majority of our political history is unconstitutional -- and should therefore not be mentioned in schools -- as well. That's ludicrous.
