And that will hurt the Democrats with Hispanics...

They need to know it first anyways here is a story from the other day....

It is probably too late now to force the Democrats' hand. Republicans moreover may believe that if Democrats succeed in blocking Estrada's confirmation, Hispanic voters will punish Democrats at the polls. Don't bet on it. More likely, Hispanics will see that for all their good intentions, Republicans can't deliver when it counts.

Since you're managing to find all kinds of other stuff to post, I take it you can't back up your statement.

We can add this to the list of 1,001 questions TLBSHOW hasn't answered on FR this very month.

I am not in opposition to a real filibuster but the issue is the quorum call and having 51 senators present...

Frist told Fox News that he had no choice but to call the Democrats' bluff on the filibuster. A vote is scheduled for next Tuesday.

"I would think the battle is just beginning. At that juncture, we would know who we need to talk to. I've got a feeling, I've got a sense that Democrats are entrenched, and our goal is to pull them out of those trenches. It may take a few days. It may take a few weeks — it may take months —but it's my goal to pull them out of those trenches."

What of the above do you not understand?

"gifter" I've asked you several times on various threads just how you make the democrats talk/debate if they don't want to when they have 41+ votes at this time? You've evaded that question like you've never read it but you have because you answered the post with some inane answer or cut/paste.

Are you incapable of answering simple questions? You claim the democrats can be made to talk. All I'm asking you is how? Please explain that to the forum if you can. So far you've not been able to.

All the democrats have to do is keep someone in the chamber to object to unanimous request that maybe posed by the Republicans to schedule a vote. A vote can't be taken until the democrats agree or there are 60 votes to invoke cloture... Can you understand that simple thing? Or are simple things to complicated for you to understand?
