Months ago, while I was trying to point out that this was not a war of religions, but rather a geopolitical power struggle within Islam and against the advent of western civilization an values into the region, the true believers in here just screamed at me that Islam was the enemy, and called me an enabler.

Months ago, while I spoke about the culpability of Saudi Arabia and the Wahabbi sect, and that we needed to address that issue, the true believers screamed that Islam was the enemy, and even called me a traitor for inviting a representative of moderate Islamic America to my show to discuss Wahabbism and their connection to international Islamic fundamentalist terrorists. I was shouted down for refusing to join the choir.

Now, you are all busy in here talking about the Wahabbis, and how they are the enemy.

Let me tell you why.

While President Bush was sending out a message to the world that this administration understood who the enemy was, and that we believed that the vast majority of Muslims would rather live in peace than wage war, the true believers and the useful idiots in this forum took every opportunity to paint the president in a negative light by using his "religion of peace" comment against him.

Now, you are taking another opportunity to paint the administration in a negative light.

If the organizations that Norquist lobbied for in DC are in fact terrorist organizations, why aren't you all spending your time putting that message out there? Why don't you spend your energy in educating the public as to who the enemy is, rather than pointing fingers at minor players in DC?

Why don't you speak out against them instead of casting aspersions at the Bush team?

The answer of course, is because the Bush team IS your ultimate target.

Again Luis, you couldn't be more wrong. My concern is regarding a possible betrayal of our country by certain people.

I hope and pray that you will refocus your misguided efforts to say things about me which are not true, and focus instead on calling for loyalty to President Bush, from those who are being paid by Hamas or other terror supporting groups or individuals.

The two go together Grover and the orgs you mentioned. Sabertooth has spent the time doing that as have others here, problem is Grover is the main problem without him these people would not get in to start with.

With all due respect, Luis, I'm goggling using the following search terms "site:www.freerepublic.com wahhabi gonzalez" and not turning up a single mention of your concern with the Wahhabi's.

Well, the spelling of "wahabbi" does vary -- it's an arabiac word all English spellings are approximations -- anyway -- here IS a relpy from you, just two months ago:

"If Turkey is primarily Islamic, how is it that they have chosen democracy over Islamic law?"

Because there are several "layers" (for lack of a better word) of Islam, very much like there are several layers of Christianity.

In the Christian world, there are Catholics, Protestants, Greek Orthodox, and within each one of those, there are sub-divisions.

Islam is the same.

The sorts of actions that we are seeing by people like Usama bin Laden and terrorists in general, are representative of the Wahabbi sect of Islam.

Rooted in Saudi Arabia, they are a monority branch of Islam that by their actions, seek to paint the entire Islamic world as radical, anti-infidel warriors.

Check out this site, and work your way through the link marked "extremism" for more detailed information.

Honestly, you are underestimating the influence of the HATRED strains of muslim teaching, and it's not just wahabbi, either. You also seem to be mischaracterise your own alone-ness, and the roar of the crowd. A FEW posters have called to eradicate Islam, and fewer still consistently. Many other freepers have pointed up the vile Saudi Wahabbi schools of hatred.

The teacher of Arafat was the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem -- he also (perhaps, it is rumored) is the one who reccommended to Hitler that Hitler not only deport Jews -- but kill them all -- complete eradication. I do NOT know if the Grand Mufti was a Saudi-schooled Wahabbi -- at the time he was a student, the Saudi's were just sand pounding camel jockeys.

And NO ONE knows whether this is is not a war of religions. There ARE many -- millions -- of decent G-d-fearing muslims who love peace, and everything must be done to rescue them. The form that rescue finally takes, if one if ever secured, is unknown to us ...
