What's the point of all this exactly?

That exposing and marginalizing elements of the "wahhabi lobby" is as important in the war on terrorism as exposing and marginalizing communist front orgs and individuals was in the cold war. Additionally, moderate/modernist/(non-extremist) traditionalist Muslims will not trust us, and are less apt to offer their much needed help, if they see us mainstreaming wahhabist or other extremist groups and individuals.

That is the most important point. People closing their eyes to Norquist and other lobbyists and friends of the Religion of Hate -- wahhabi, and other muslim terrorist sects - are only supporting those enemies and murderers.
