CANBERRA, Australia (Reuters) -- Astronomers have started a countdown to the launch of two robotic buggies on a mission to find out if there is, or ever was, life on Mars.
Charles Elachi, director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory, said final preparations were underway with one "exploration rove"' arriving at Cape Canaveral this week and the second due in three weeks.
