He was telling the dims that they are no longer top dog. How does that song go? Move over, Rats, 'cause the big dog is moving in.

;-) I let the hour and my Frist admiration tempt me into needlessly rattling the beehive. But Diddl E Squat gave me a good reminder, so I'll repeat it as an apology:
so let's heal any still lingering wounds over that. Its the Dems we want to beat, and on this one it will take every possible vote.

whoops, got your handle wrong.. sorry about that

Durbin let slip that they had some DOJ documents that were privileged and were leaked to the Rats ILLEGALLY. Hatch went ballistic. Biden and Schumer have them. This occurred about 4 hours ago, I think.

Here's hoping Dr. Frist has some information from the WH advising of some imminent emergency. Frist can have the Dems in full-fillibuster and looking shameless when the planes go in as they stand about talking recipes and reading song lyrics into the record.

He's trying to peel away a few more Dems, well, actually he's probably talking to all of us to keep the pressure on those vulnerable Dems.

The ground rules have changed because Hillary is now calling the shots.

I'm starting to sweat here, by the looks of things, we will be at our tvs and computers all weekend long nonstop. The war is most likely to start, and the senate dematwits are going to be in a filabuster. We all need to think about the fact none of us are going to have any sleep for at least 72 hours straight. I have got to put the wine glass down now.

if the Repubs are expecting the Dims to act as honorably now and the Repubs did during Klintoon's terms then they will be utterly and completely disappointed.

...I think what we just watched was Frist showing the democrats what's in store for them ... You are correct. Frist was giving them a taste of how it's going to be. He was letting them know that he's in the
driver's seat and he knows it. He was saying "I will punish you until you yield".
This is just the beginning. Anyone who thinks Frist has caved is a fool of no discernment.

One thing keeping hope alive is seeing Dashle's face tonight.
He did not look like a happy camper.
To: PokeyJoe
looks like a SHOT ACROSS THE BOW ?? That's what I think. The Dems got hammered tonight - surely they're beginning to realize that we're not going to give in.
Let them lick their wounds overnight and maybe a few more will reconsider supporting the filibuster. Once we get the 60 votes, maybe the Dems will capitulate and allow the up or down vote.

Thanks. If it happened around 8:30 EST, its too late to make the Thursday papers, but hopefully there will be a nice little min-scandel brewing by Friday.
To: Utah Girl
Yep, that's what I'm praying for, that the Democrats' hearts will be softened, that Estrada will be confirmed, and that the Senate can get on with it.
This is Hillary being "smart" again. She is, YOU KNOW, not only, YOU KNOW, the smartest woman in the world, YOU KNOW, but also a real lawyer. YOU KNOW?
The Dems. need to keep listening to Hillary.
To: Torie
Daschle will drop the filibuster only with a full scale press conference.
Maybe you know that... I don't... I assume that Frist wants to get some things on the record. At some point he'll have to decide to continue, pull the nomination off the floor, leave it as a part time debate item, or ask for a cloture vote. I'm sure he's counting votes.

Sessions is mention a retreat the Dems had when the Dem took control of the Senate
