Well, at least I'm getting a little more positive feeling about the area, after hearing from Dan and then this from you! I haven't been looking forward to this move, though I'm really not pleased with the area we live in now.

Dan's right, though - if you can avoid a place in A² itself or its close suburbs and get up into northern Washtenaw or into Livingston county, that would have a better atmosphere.

Avoid Ypsilanti at all costs. Avoid Wayne county (even western Wayne) at all costs.
