Expounding -- Bill got the style from his Arkansas roots -- the mob there, the corrupted politics -- he grew up right in it. Hillary maybe from Alinsky. Alinsky is sort of the meaner version of Abbie Hoffman. In both cases the "rain" is protection money. Jesse Jackson uses that technique -- he invents slights of the negro race he can tie to corporations, plays it up -- racial division mongering -- and then "meets" with them in the penthouse, exiting the elevator with buckets full of rain. One of the reasons --Jesse is one of the Team Clinton marketing affinity group, so to speak.

Team Clinton has had so many plays of this its almost beyond counting -- the Jews and Israel versus the Arab World is one, and a very responsive one, rain-wise, to being played so for suckers. One of the reasons Clinton worked so damn hard to get Barak re-elected -- he stayed on their reservation, kept the franchise in their terriroty. Also one reason Clinton DOJ/NSC didn't pursue the Arab Terr Rings with anything but a veneer of energy -- those terror punches fueled divisions, divisions created opportunities to make money. Another example is Silicon Valley. The West Coasties of Tech. (The West Coasties of Hollywood is another story entirely). Silicon Valley hadn't been ponying up their percentage into the Gulch -- Gucci Gulch and the Federal Triangle. Team Clinton corrected that. They not only anti-trusted MS, but they did it by that wonderful rain-heavy technique -- playing two sides into the bag of swag in the middle. Sun, Netscape, et al versus the Behemoth of Gates. Notice how all parties rapidly assembled battlaions of dollars and marched them into the beltway -- never to return?

Rainmaking like Clinton's is a highly prized talent in DC, in New York, in the UN-NGO-World Bank World. Places where morals don't buy a cup of coffee, and certainly not golden Rolexes (or whatever the power wristwatch is today).
