FYI. Almost half of the Congressional Black Caucus and over a third of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus members belong to the socialist Progressive Caucus. Mainstream America?

Check out the numbers here.

The CHC says Miguel Estrada is not hispanic enough because he doesn't pander to the liberal hispanic advocacy groups. Republican Hispanics are not hispanic according to them.

Yep. A progressive is really just a communist in a suit.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus issued a protest against Miguel before he even testified. They didn't even give him the courtesy of a hearing.

"The Democrat Hispanic Congressional Caucus is exactly that - a Democratic machine."
"There are NO Republican members of the Democrat Hispanic Congressional Caucus...they were forced out. Republican hispanic members of congress support Miguel Estrada
."- Sen. Orrin Hatch, Feb. 5,  2003.

Despite what you hear in the media, democrats still hate blacks. So many of the party's southern pillars are from families that lost a great deal of "property" when the Republicans abolished slavery. The dems still see blacks as "property" and segregate them in the CBC where they can mouth off but accomplish little. It keeps the black comgressmen on a segregated plantation, as it were.

I still don't understand why some Republican Congressmen from districts with a significant black population don't try to join the CBC and demonstrate the dems hypocracy on this issue. It is this traditional dem view of blacks as property still, sort of, owned by whites, that makes it certain that Sharpton and Moseley-Braun will NEVER get a real shot at being on the dem ticket in 2004. The dems will give them the standard shucking and jiving, maybe let them chair some new committee, but nothing more than some lip service. Both, of course, will be bought off as dems ALWAYS do with powerful blacks.

For the record, 28 out of the 54 members of the Progressive Caucus are not members of the CBC, or CHC. It isn't about race (sex, age, class) - it's about politics.

The Progressive Caucus, the largest Democratic caucus with over 50 members: working to turn America into a socialist workers' paradise - like Cuba. No more problems with immigration or "Rush Limbaugh," the Ten Commandments or that pesky Constitution. No more putting racist-sexist-homophobe-bigotted American sovereignty and national security ahead of the noble instrument of universal peace, enlightenment and androgeny - the UN.

Kucinich, Sarandon, Daschle and Rather might say about the Progressive Caucus what Hillary said about America on Hardball shortly after 9-11, "I pledge allegiance to the America that can be.".

Miguel Estrada respresents mainstream America. His critics don't. Case closed.

Following a pro-Miguel Estrada rally airing on C-Span tonight is a full half hour devoted to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus's opposition to Miguel's nomination for the DC Circuit Court.

There is no honest case against Miguel. He supports the US Constitution, not Fidel Castro.

While Americans expect the mainstream news media to investigate and report the FACTS accordingly...they aren't. It is not about race with the CHC, but about Miguel being a conservative. Shame on them...using double standards while loudly protesting the same treatment from others.

Marcy Kaptur, Kucinich - the ones heading the anti-war coalition in the House, calling the war illegal, are members of the Progressive Caucus.

Americans deserve to know the loyalties of their elected leaders...and the loyalties of those condemning our CIC on the eve of war.

Mainstream press, you forgot a major theme of the story - the anti-American agenda of the President's accusers.
