Crew of stricken Turkish vessel rescued
A Turkish vessel, that had sought safety off from the winter storm that has buffeted Israel in the last 24 hours, broke anchor Tuesday and began to sink.
The boat's 10 crewmembers were rescued after abandoning the vessel and taking to lifeboats to await rescue. An IDF helicopter, a tugboat from the Ashkelon harbor and a vessel that was in the area participated in the rescue of the sailors from the Kamal Okan.
However, rescue efforts encountered difficulties due to the heavy seas and storms.
The Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom said all 10 crew members from the stricken vessel were safely aboard a tugboat headed for port. The service had ambulances standing by.
The vessel anchored outside the harbor on Monday to avoid the storm. The ship is currently 16 Km off the southern Israeli coast. Israel Radio said the ship might have chosen to stay out the harbor in an attempt to save money.

They are providing imagery from Ofeq-5 as they have from their previous satellites.

It would have been done thirty years ago but President Carter lost Iran. Another example of his general worthlessness.
In global strategy, fifty years isn't that far ahead. We've been busy shaping the post-WW2 world since the early Forties. Unfortunately, we occasionally elect idiot Democrats.
