on the Danish island of Fanoe:

DO we have any Danes in the house? I thought the islands were the Faroe Islands. I've also seen it spelt as the Faeroe Islands. The Faroe Islands are midway between Scotland and Iceland.

(showing my ignorance here) Are the Fanoe Islands a different group of islands, or an alternate spelling of Faroe?
