I'm surprised we have any troops left to invade Iraq seeing how many we're losing in Afghanistan! According to JihadUnspun.com, we've had a thousand killed and a thousand more captured by Jihadists. Very cleverly, the Jihadis refuse to show any video evidence of these captives. However, they did release one still photo of the most recent batch of American prisoners being paraded down Tarin Kot's main street. Here it is:

That's kind of sad. I'm sure that this person must feel isolated and threatened by the current political circumstances. Can't Uncle Sam show some compassion for this lost soul? That is the problem with some of these so called stories. Somewhere and often hidden in the bottom of the lies is the reality that the story came from Reuters or Islamfacists lie all the time or from unidentified sources.

I can't remember the bs thread that was posted this weekend. At first it looked like a semi credible source and hidden and all most removed electronically was the linkage to Reuters.

Whenever I was in dangerous situations, I would always make a point of calling my loved ones whenever something bad happened, and casually mention the time, so when they heard the bad news, they would realize that my call was after that point, and that I was OK.

Eventually it got to be such a routine that if I called up out of the blue, they would just ask what time it was where I was and we could get off the line.

He can call me, but I can't reach him. I even hesitate to ask him the time because we are not supposed to talk about where he is. After one incident that I thought might affect him, I waited anxiously for 4 days to hear he was okay. When he called, I asked how he was, and then how his friend was. He knew I knew what had happened.

I told him that I always knew everything he was doing, and still do, so to try to call home if anything happens. Sometimes FR and all the info we get here can cause anxiety. ;-)
