I would definitly recommend picking up John Mayer's album. No one-hit-wonder here. Every song on the album is excellent. IMHO, "Your Body Is A Wonderland" is a good song, but not the best on the album. To be that talented at that young an age is quite impressive.

I like his stuff too, but then again, I like Dave Matthews Band too, and I think he sounds just like them only with less musical texture behind him. I didn't watch the show last nite, but I heard someone talking about how he was 16 yrs old or something like that. He is 25.

My bad.

Coulda sworn he said he was 16 last night, but I don't know much about the guy.

I am so glad Norah Jones cleaned up. What a great talent, what a class act. Beautiful as well. Now that's music.

Were there any particularly egregious displays I missed?!

I counted about 4-5 "comments" and besides Crowe the young gal singer had an anti-war message inside her jacket. When she started the camera showed her opeing it. later, she took it off and you could see some Big White Letters inside.

The one loser guy was saying something unitelligable like "Are we all aggrecious that war is bad".

She also made an offhand anti-Bush statement saying with the world so crazy or mixed-up or something like that it was good to win.

Yeah...I suppose artists are all flakes to some degree. But from a cultural perspective, I'd rather have someone producing the kind of melodic jazz (and those lyrics!) that Norah Jones does.

The real crying shame about the Grammy award is that Eminem has two of them.

Calling Norah Jones' remark anti-Bush is a reach.

You wouldn't agree the world is a bit crazy right now?

We're facing two lunatics, one in Iraq and one in N. Korea.
Not to mention moronic anti-war protestors.

Why you would think her comment was directed at anyone in particular is beyond me. It seems a little reflexive.

Thanks fer the ping, Mud.

CM, you don't like Springsteen, huh? Any particular reasons? I'm guessin' he's a bigtime lib...I know the Hollywood elites were rootin' for him to win.

BTW, wasn't Robin Williams funny? NOT
It looked like he actually kissed that cross-dressin' freak show (Harvey) on the mouth! And then he had to make some lame joke about Jessie Helms and Trent Lott...
I can't believe I once thought that guy was funny...in the '70's.

FRegards

I just flat out do not like Springsteen's music. Never did. Doubt if I ever will.

His anthemic New Jersey stuff never did it for me. Besides, his singing voice(?) is not quite there.(if you know what I mean)

His politics are another thing altogether.

BTW. Half of my family lives in NJ. I always tell them if it wasn't for NJ we'd be that much closer to Florida!

Norah Jones. Great voice, great talent. Thankfully she stayed away from the sitar.

No kidding!LOL

Funny how she took her mom's name, isn't it?

Maybe it's a little cooler than Norah Shankar!
