Also, can anyone confirm whether Samuel L. Jackson is a conservative? I got the idea when all those black actors made commentary about blacks finally being recognized at the last academy awards when both Denzel and Hally Berry won. Every black actor you could imagine put in their obligatory "we're finally arrived" comment except Samuel L. Jackson. As i recall, rumor had it that he did comment, but they didn't like his comment. It didn't fit the message they were trying to convey. Believe his comment was something like, "i just go for parts where the character is interesting, not just out looking for black roles". I'd love to be able to add S.L.J. to our list. Can anyone confirm?

Actually, I took her comments as being very humble. She was saying that she understands how small she is in the big picture. With all the unhappiness in the world, she was thankful for the wonderful year she had. It thought it was a wonderful thing to say.

I noticed something weird about the Grammys last night--none of the winners thanked God in their speeches. Do you suppose they were told not to? I'm not complaining, because it's such a corny, cliched--and often insincere--line, but it's weird that not one winner dropped the G-bomb.

Are you a Blues musician? I work with a guy who sells old Pre-War Blues 78's, and man...some of those guys are INCREDIBLE!

You just can't listen to Charlie Patton, Tommy Johnson, Robert Johnson, Blind Lemon jefferson, etc., without being awestruck at their incredible talent!
