Just a point of view here on your comment HC, not directed at you specifically but to all here in general. KSEV has a good set of radio talk show hosts and a great format but with the level of animosity that exists between KSEV and KPRC Clear Channel it is no wonder that the good folks at KSEV are turning a cold shoulder to these callers and to this effort. Clear Channel was wrong to treat Dans (Patrick) people the way they did when they took over KPRC but Dans people are also pretty thin skinned about it also. Dan Patrick talks a good talk about the rift but actions do speak louder than words as usual.
Some of the talk around here and other known quarters over the months hasn't helped much either IMO. Local freepers and KSEV need each other whether they know it or not. Dan has a pretty thick skin on some things but not on this strong dislike towards anything having to do with Clear Channel and KPRC. And Freepers have big hearts and lots of enthusiasm but little understanding about this situation between Dans KSEV and Clear Channels KPRC. Just thought a bit of perspective here was in order.
The encouragement regarding the KPRC rally is directed toward the rally itself and not necessarily toward KPRC. This rally needs all support possible, regardless of whether KSEV or KPRC initiated it. If KSEV started it instead, I would still support it.
Whether it is KPRC, KSEV, or both that you listen to, and whether or not you like a specific talk show host, this is an afternoon to put those differences aside and support the country.
If KSEV is giving a cold reception to this effort, it is a large disappointment. Let's deal with that later and support the current effort. The KSEV/KPRC rift started before I moved to Houston, so I am in no position to take sides.
