I'm all for getting illegal aliens out of the U.S. But I have to testify, too, that every person I'ver ever personally saw that I suspected was an illegal alien was working his ass off on a job I sure as hell wouldn't want.

But, isn't that *because* they are illegal and don't qualify for welfare benefits?

I would also point out that I lived till recently in a town where several hundred people were fired or forced to quit from Tysons, so they could be replaced by illegal immigrants, some (supposedly) as young as nine. Those illegals "working their asses off" might be doing so at a job from which an American citizen was let go.

Illegals can't get welfare? Where'd you hear that? Most of the ones in my neighborhood double dipped. They'd work jobs for $4/hr under the table (not too shabby if you dont' have any taxes taken out ever) and then get welfare/food stamps/AFDC too. The cash gets sent home to Mexico and out of circulation in the community. So, the short answer is yes, they're working, jobs that American's probably won't work for $4/hr...BUT they're also getting welfare!
