I always got a kick of the cantankerous people who used to be on this forum. A+Bert, Jethro Tull, Arthur McGowan, etc. I don't know why people complained about them and got some of them banned. I know Jethro Tull and I had many battles as we disagreed on much, but based on Freep mails that went between us, I think he was a decent guy. I always got a kick out of "pinging" Arthur McGowan after he went ballistic one day about ping lists. I haven't seen him around here in a while. Is he still around or did he finally get sick of all the pings?

I like the Freepers who aren't afraid to enter the fray and take unpopular stands, like sinkspur, Senator Pardek, Dog Gone, DoughtyOne, etc. There are many other people here who present good arguments and add spice and humor to this forum. Of course, I am leaving many, many people out which is why I don't like responding to threads like this.

He had a website too with li\nks to the Hindustan times and such, but I've lost the link. I forget his screenname but I think it started with t a "J".

I like the Freepers that do the (Barf Alerts). There so much crap in the media that there is an awful lot of vomit material out there. Thanks to thos folks for finding them and allowing the rest of us to barf.

I really do like the Hold Muh Beer Alerts. I'm not a particular fan of beer, but I do appreciate the sense of humor.

I like those Freepers that can predict the obvious before it becomes so with the rest of the media. Example: CBS executives wanting to keep anti-war material from overtaking the Grammy's. Well, our Freepers were on top it. They saw it before it hit Drudge. Common sense is too much for today's media.

I love reading Freepers material that I didn't write. I love reading Freepers material that I'm glad I didn't write. I love reading Freepers material that I'm sure the rest of us are glad we didn't write.

All in all, most FreeRepublic Must Read Members is just about everyone. Did you get all that? LOL!

I usually enjoyed reading CommonTator's strong commentaries on political strategy. I could be wrong, but I think he stopped posting cold turkey right after the Trent Lott thing. Where are you, CommonTator?

Here are my favorites, no order of preference:

Alamo-Girl: She has a very kind heart, insightful, and is always very sweet. She is one of the few people that you can look at and say, "Wow, I want to be like her."

VadeRetro: His scientific posts are always a good read. There's one other guy who also posts a lot of scientific explanations, but I forgot his name (?).

shelion: Her posts are always a good read, informative, and always have a sense of humor to it... she is in my prayers...

rdb3: Always insightful in the religion forum and just plain cool to boot.

Sabertooth: Just plain cool, too, and his debates always are very insightful and deep. He's one of the few good, informative Internet debaters.

Admin Moderator: like another poster said... "these [zot] threads warm my little black heart." ;)

I'd vote for deb, but I can never remember how to spell fushiafuchciafuschia pink. My favorite was when she called A+Bert a "urine-soaked booze hound" (or was it the other way around?). That was before we had A_Ms, of course.

I'll vote for quidam, 'cause I still want to hear how the "Coke is it" video tapes came out.
