Uhm, why is killing a 63 year old worse than killing a 61 year old. This is stupid. I still can't understand why killing a 63 year old is worse than killing a child. Susan Smith murdered her two little boys in cold blood, planned it, then tried to cover it up on national TV. She didn't get the death penalty and these babies were a lot more helpless strapped in their carseats than any 63 year old person I know.

I'm sorry but there are some "classes" of people who deserve more protection.Perhaps you might petition our rulers to amend the constitution to reflect your views on this matter. Or maybe just move....

Ask those in support of goofy sentencing laws like this, "are you less reluctant to die today than you were a year ago?"
A life is a life, and ours is not to judge the "relative value" of each.

Having moved to Arkansas a couple years ago, I am struck by how unabashedly politicians here seek to create special rights and special punishments based upon one's group status. Reading the newspapers here is like watching a train wreck .......... you know it's going to be horrible, but you just have to look!
And the sheeple simply graze on the ever-thinning field......
