We inherit a sin nature from Adam and then all of us sin, making us guilty - deserving of damnation.

That is NOT taught in the Scripture. I don't believe it - read how King David reacted upon hearing about the death of his son.

We sinned against Him, and deserve His punishment. However, God's grace is a FREE GIFT to us, so I know I am saved not because of anything good I have done, but because of what Jesus did on the cross. The LDS denies the free gift of salvation - do you "hate" and "despise" God's free gift of salvation?
