It wouldn't be that hard to figure out which bands used pyro, and plant an arsonist in the crowd, or even work as a backstage tech to spice up one of the pyro displays.

In this case, there is a much simpler explanation - that the pyro displays caught the acoustic foam on fire, and patrons were slow to evacuate because they thought the fire was part of the show. Until the fire department comes out with an investigation that shows additional, deliberate arson, I'm gonna go with the Occam's Razor take on that tragic event.

I can think of a couple thousand bands that would be a better target than "Great White."

It is certainly true that if fires never occurred in bunches, they wouldn't be random. But I wouldn't exclude looking for terrorism, especially given other large fires around the country in the last two days.
