Do you mean that by merely writing the word "bump" in the comments/reply section, that the entire article gets repositioned at the head of the threads?

The way I understand it is that on the FR homepage, on the left hand side there is the catagory "latest posts."
So, for example after I post this comment TO this thread it will be placed as recived in that catagory.
It is just the latest POST to a particular thread but it shows the article to be generating active forum discussion.
