So, actually writing the word "ping" in the reply box means nothing, right? It simply lets the recipient know what you're doing.

But, if you've got 50 names on your ping list, that pretty much fills up the "to" box, doesn't it?

BTW, how is "bump" different from "ping?"

well, you list the freepers who want to be on a list, and put them in the "to" box. Then in your "reply" box, you are letting them know you are pinging them, (alerting them) to an issue you all want to keep dibs on. And those you pinged, will get freeped with the article posted to them.

As I have done here to ping ya and letting ya know I have added you to my list. By the way, you are on my list.

As far as I know, I put everyone in the 'to' box and they do get pinged.... the program Jim Rob has knows... ;o)Also, you notice that the "to" box has an up and down arrow character, that lets you add to an unknown character allotment.

a bump is that you. I believe; read the story and bumping it back to the front..so to speak. A bttp, is (B)ack (T)o (T)op..... (P)age. ;o)
