I'm glad you had sense enough not to post this under "breaking news"
.<< I never have posted an article under "breaking news". I have read a few posted there.
You post that comment on as many threads as you can?

From your link:
Birmingham, AL school board never has adequate funding, yet somewhere between $16M and $26M (that's correct, no one even knows how much) is "missing, unaccounted for".

The casual reference to her chauffeur is enough to raise my eyebrows. That got mine too.

It was a joke!! Sorry
I wrote it because it is almost universally known that any/all of the DC public services are rife with corruption and ineptitude. But what else would one expect in a city run by crooks who are one step away from being tird worlders.

.<< That's why Klinton wanted this:
DC Statehood White House spokeswoman Nanda Chitre reported that President Clinton will join the fight for DC statehood in the final weeks of his presidency. The President has asked that his black limo sport the District of Columbia's new "Taxation without Representation" license plates to "show solidarity" with DC residents who have recently launched a new national DC statehood committee, and a nationwide petition drive. America's Founders established what they intended as a politically "neutral" District to house the administration of the Federal Government.
D.C. for statehood? How about a hood state.

<< I have seen some flaming chastisments and lamentations over articles posted under Breaking News. I didn't know if there was an effort underway to preclude posts under Breaking News that weren't of critical significance, in view of the impending Iraq war, terrorist threats and the N.Korea situation.

someone needs to investigate how an official in an organization with a $ 4.3 million dollar annual budget rates a freakin limo; I work for an orginization with a $ 6 million dollar budget, and there's no one here who would even think they rated a limo -- this whole story just begs credulity....
