I don't discount everything he said. In fact, he is the one who showed that insects can survive floods on floating vegetation mats, which squares quite well with the creation/flood model.

He also noticed that beaks of bird adapt to their environment, but they always remained birds (and the beaks adapt in reverse, as necessary, which is verboten in the classic evolutionary theory).

Of course Darwin's education was in theology, not science, so I'm sure evolutionists will discount anything he proposes as religious nonsense.
