Relations between North and South Korea are now so grave that military commanders have warned a nuclear war could break out at any moment.

This follows an incident in which a North Korean fighter jet briefly crossed into South Korea but retreated after being confronted by two southern jets.

Anti-aircraft missile units have been put into battle position in the South Korean capital of Seoul

Only a few days ago the North threatened to abandon the armistice keeping peace along the countries' tense border.

The incursion, the first by a North Korean military jet since 1983, increased jitters on the peninsula, where the North is locked in a dispute over nuclear weapons development.

KCNA, the North's state news agency and a mouthpiece of the regime, said the situation on the peninsula was now "so alarming that a nuclear war may break out at any moment."

Tension has crept up since October, when US officials said North Korea had admitted having a covert nuclear weapons programme.

Washington and its allies suspended fuel shipments, and the North retaliated by expelling UN monitors, taking steps to restart frozen nuclear facilities and withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty.

I'm convinced that DPRK is in cahoots with Saddam, and is using this as a means to distract our attention with having to deal with two fronts at once.

North Korea has an immense army, estimated as near a million men. The Pyongyang Gang might think that its (assumed) A-weapons would deter us from using tactical nuclear shells to halt a wave attack.

I hope they're wrong, as I don't want to see South Korea overrun. 37,000 American troops are stationed there.

So, Putin sent N. Korea talking horses for his birthday.

Soddam doesn't want to loose power, I agree, but N. Korea is a puppet always has been, remember whose puppet they are.

Carter/Clinton/Richardson and Putin keep closer contact with N. Korea than Soddam, who is watching what this bunch are doing. Russia, France, and Germany are the "big" fish who want Soddam protected. (Clinton's socialist gang)

N. Korea is trying to blackmail US, who gave them permission to enter the world stage? Soddam doesn't have time or money to play these kind of games with N. Korea, he is too busy hiding his stuff and meeting with the Russian Communist Party leadership to be sending SOS to N. Korea.

This whole affair is bigger than Soddam and N. Korea, it is about the "LEFT" VS the FREE PEOPLE of the world.

North Korea has an army of 1.4 million, which they can barely feed and supply. Forget about the rest of the civilian population. They starve to death every day.

Look for North Korea to find a way to feed and supply it's army and civilian population. We either will have to give them aid, or they will attempt to take what they want from South Korea. In taking what they want, they will use whatever means they have, including tossing 1 nuclear bomb on Seoul, and threatening to use the other on the US or Japan.

Of course after the 1st bomb is dropped, we would have no choice but to eliminate the country of North Korea.

But this is the mindset of the North Koreans. Their back is against the wall and they must come out fighting in order to survive.

I wonder if those South Korean protestors still want us out? Or would they rather wait until we neuter the pervert to the north?

If I were Rummy or GW, I would think now would be a perfect time to announce a "formal plan" to pull-out American troops. Ain't no easier way to convert an athiest than to introduce him face-to-face with the devil. Those damn protestors would get religion in a hurry.

Gulp . . . I'm so puckered up I won't have a bowel movement for a month . . . but I'm afraid you're right. Pee Wee Clinton spent eight years showing the world blackmail was a viable and profitable tactic. Somewhere, somehow, and sometime someone is gonna have to change that.

But, wow, think of the casualties involved if North Korea . . . No, no, the casualties will just be worse later. You're right.

The U.S., like it or not, appears to be the only grown-up on the world stage. But if I were GW I'd have my finger on the trigger to annihilate the North Korean bastard as soon as I even got a whif of missile fuel.

You know, this situation is starting to remind me of the flare up between India and Pakistan right when things in Afghanistan were heating up. There were lots of worries that things were deteriorating so badly that it could go nuclear. I am beginning to wonder if AQ behind this whole thing somehow. Seems like a pattern is developing.
