I believe that, because I am one.

I no longer watch Fox News in the morning (more than a few minutes anyways) because of the god-awful "commercials" that go with it.

I don't know if it's my local cable company or Fox doing it, but the constant repetition of those "public service" or "ad council" spots has driven me away .

Example: the one where the lady screams at Ed McMahon, "We Won...". I never want to hear that horrible screech again, therefore I'll gladly listen to NPR in the morning instead of Fox News.

public service and ad council spots are used during local commercial time when the local cable company can't sell advertising to fill the time.....we have to do the same thing in radio...that why you hear so many public service announcements after about 10 pm
