Thank you so much, Free!
I miss being here.
Plowing through the myriad of details of car-buying - settling the loss (State Farm was very prompt, paying the full value) - working on the personal injury form - tomorrow have to get my initial x-rays to take to surgeon (both 45 miles away) and see if the arm can be put in a cast yet - and tomorrow night will send pictures to humblegunner to post of my safe little cocoon area in the midst of disaster.
I am so blessed to be hurt so little.

When I broke my arm, I decided something: I was *definitely* going to call up my friends and ask them for favors so I could take it easy. And I did just that: I asked people to bring me dinner on a specific day and I didn't have to cook dinner that first week. (LOL, so OK, I only have 5 friends. But that's not my point!)
So as independent as we all can be, when you're hurt, that's the time to ask for others to help. Loads of laundry!!? Girlfriend, I'd be asking a friend to help with that. Friends actually *like* to help when one's in extremis.
