"Will you pippin and LadyX help me protect the poor guy???"

Possible solution here, dutchess!

Make a snappy looking vest with K-9 on each sides for Tha Gizmutt.

Convince Thud that if he loses his balance and falls overboard, or if pirates threaten, Gizzmutt is his K-9 Personal Protector and will rescue him.

That should do it, ya think?

Free, thank you for your concern about my safety. This has been quite an experience. We used to have lots of ice storms in Tenn., but this is the first one we've had since moving to WV. Strange thing is that we were right on the line between snow and ice, and we got the ice. Trees down all over the roads. 100,000 people without electric and at least half that many without water. The rest of them in the southern part of the state are dealing with flooding. Floods are a normal part of WV life and we know how to deal with them, but the ice is harder to combat. Hubby and I didn't even try. We just packed our suitcase and headed for a motel. We slept too much and ate too much and I almost finished reading "Bush at War" by Woodward, but we are really glad to be home. My back couldn't take another night on that motel matress. Too hard.

Good evening to ye me Lady. Isn't it grand to be back on duty? I have missed everyone. You wouldn't believe how addicted I am to this place. I was truly bored in that motel room. Would you believe they didn't even have FOX news on the TV? Talk about total withdrawal....

I'm so glad that you are doing so well. I pray that you continue to heal quickly. I'm glad you like the daisies. I couldn't think of anything more appropriate. You and I are daisy kind of girls, don'tcha think?

Hi, Nan!
Hope you've thawed out and are comfortable by now.
Surely between us, we can keep Gizmutt safe.

Will be signing off soon, and be away tomorrow until evening, playing 'Doctor' out of town.
Doing great, overall, getting another pumpkin coach.

The only hard part was telling my sister I kinda ruined the top to the wind suit she gave me last week, it having to be cut off in the wreck..:))

You did advise Gizzy about the pirates didn't you? We have been known to encounter pirates along the coast of Chili, off the straits of Gilbratar, in the Indian Ocean and even on the Great Barrier Reef. We have to be eternally vigilant and that is part of my job too. I climb the mizen mast and scout for pirates and land. I especially look for land, so that I can shout "LAND HO!" I love doing that because I can't swim and I hate water and sailing. Cap'n says I will eventually learn to like it, but I have my doubts.

You told me about that. Maybe she will get you another one (g). You have a good visit with the doctors and get home safe and sound. Will look forward to hearing the details tomorrow evening if you are up to it.

You've got that right, Nan!
Daisies don't tell - the petals always come out "He loves me" - and if you're not in the act of pushin' them up, everything is OKAY!!

LOL and {{{ Hugs for Sistah Nan }}}

**Prayers lifted for mama's daughter.:) BTW we home schooled for seven years. **

Thank you for the prayers for psychogirl (a 12 year old freeper with parental guidance). Her temp is still up but she's wanting to eat and drink a bit. Good sign. :o)

We're in our 7th year home schooling. Did you school through high school?

**Were you able to take a nap? **

Yeah, right.

No...I went to get a clean t-shirt and undies from her closet and yikes! Looked like a cyclone hit! So...I've been dividing her clothes, putting the too small items in one pile and all the rest in a laundry pile. grrr.
