It's time to remind them to put the pressure o the Attorney General to prosecute hitlery.
If nothing is done someday she will try and run for President.
IF she ever does it will be a Republican controlled government that allows this.

The RATS called their bluff! It is that simple.
The republicans cannot call for cloture and the rats know it.
Expect more of the same next week.

For many years, the GOP has been hamstrung by a desire to come across as "the nice guys on the high road." They
never get down in the trenches and fight like the Dems do. Never. They allow themselves to be shouted over on talk shows. They allow the media to bash them, and sit there and smile and talk to the media like they're best pals. And they wimp out where it counts most, like now. It's like it never sinks in that...
- When you're nice to and try to play fair with Democrats, those Democrats laugh while they're sticking the knife in your back.
- No matter how nice they are to the media, the media hate the GOP's guts with a vitriolic fervor and always will.
- Winning requires a backbone.
It no longer resembles the party of Reagan, and Reagan never even had the luxury of control. Very sad.

I'll say this again!
I don't recall seeing the dems on TV recently gloating or smirking on how they have defeated the GOP on Estrada ...??
Has anyone else seen anything about that ..??
Well ... if not, then perhaps the GOP haven't "wimped" out after all. I mean, how can you wimp out if your enemy is not gloating.
Last week, Tom Ridge told the Congress he believed there was a viable threat against the WH and the Congress. Tom suggested that the members' families would be safer in some other location. What was helpful was there was a scheduled recess for the week of 2/17-21. It apparently seemed more appropriate to help their families get to a safer place than it did to argue with each other.
I was a little disappointed when Frist said they would continue the argument after the recess. But ... what really surprised me was that even though people seemed to think the GOP had wimped out, the democrats were silent.
Therefore, my conclusion is not that the GOP wimped out, as so many are so willing to claim, but that it was a mutual agreement to continue the argument after they had all assisted their families to safety.

The American people continue to see the 'rats acting as obstructionist during a time of war. I hope the Pubbies do not fight with the 'rats because when the media plays the rats against the Pubbies we always lose. America is watching the rats imploded. Why try to stop them?
They have learned nothing from the 02 elections. Indeed they have learned nothing from 9-11.

I don't recall seeing any republicans on the Sunday TV shows this past weekend.
Like when a crime is done in the dark no one sees it.

I absolutely agree. This is far from over and the Republicans haven't lost a thing yet. With so much pressing business that our government should be attending to, I think the Dems will come away from this looking awful silly for wasting the Senate's time opposing a nominee that is both qualified and Hispanic.
I was just watching the replay of Estrada's hearing from September on C-Span2 and it really burned me up how orchestrated the whole thing was. Schumer attacked Estrada on one front. Feinstein and Feingold on another. Kennedy and Edwards on another. It really was a sham. The Dems are scared to death that this guy might make it to the Supreme Court and they have carried out a campaign to defeat his nomination from the day it was announced. On a side note, does anyone else think Chuck Schumer is a sniveling windbag? That man appears to be in love with his own voice and is much less intelligent than I once believed.

"I'm just glad Ronald Reagan isn't able to see what's happened to his party to date."
I can't imagine why Reagan would not be delighted with the power of the USA and the power of the Republican Party. Republicans control the Presidency and majorities in the Senate, House, Governors, state legislators, and control of state houses. In 2 years we got tax cuts and increased military budgets. Soon we will have cheap oil and greater energy independence. Dubya is re-aligning the focus of power in Europe, the UN, and NATO towards an alliance of pro-American nations.
Im sure Reagan understands that all good things come to those who wait.
The rats think the world has forgotten 9-11. They thought they could pretend for a while and then go back to their old tactics. Their old tactics look anti-USA to most people in the post 9-11 world.
Have you seen any polls lately? After protests, after obstruction by the Senate? I havent either. The rats will fold. They have to. Their constituents are telling them in loud threatening voices that they have to fold.
Judicial vacancies will fill quickly when we have a 60-vote majority in the Senate.
