Local activists said yesterday the city might not have dared enforce the closure order for fear of political and social consequences.

Too bad 21 people had to pay the price of unintended consequences because the city might not have dared to enforce the closure order...

It's a terrible shame that so many people had to die as a direct result of a couple of women squabbling like little kids. Ladies didn't used to behave like this, and this particular behavior is not unique to the race of the people involved.
