Wrong. Like the Korean War and the Gulf War, the Vietnam war was also a U.N. action. It is the U.N. that hampered the ability to achive victory in ALL of those wars. We SHOULD go it alone, that way our military can make the choices necessary to win, rather than the U.N. dictating "the end" of the war.

Your implication was that America lost militarily. If I misunderstood I withdraw the statement.

However, the outcome of Vietnam was evidence of politcal weakness and disgraceful leadership by Johnson and McNamara. Those bastards own the 56,000 dead brothers in arms because they never were in it to win it.

I hate Cretiens guts and the rest of his liberal toadies with a passion. I am not against blowing Saddams ass to meet his virgins, however I am a realist and our contribution to maintain stability in Afghanistan, finish the job and fulfill the Wests commitment to rebuilding this tattered country is very important and should not be overlooked.It would be nice to parade a bunch of tough hockey pucks down the main street of Bagdad, but lets face it, Cretien has reduced our military capability and we just do not have the horses right now. Let us do the right thing for the moment and concentrate on building up our armed forces for the future, North Korea still must be dealt with.
